God created them with that right and you do not have the right to take it away.

As to 'pre-historic times', I'm afraid there is no such thing, for the Bible records history from the Creation.Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11485138043858836382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654455663519806899.post-18211530320150904052013-02-10T09:06:48.400-08:002013-02-10T09:06:48.400-08:00Interesting article. There seems one or two reasons to bring up a child who is very likely to have multiple body dysfunctions (speech, brain, sight, hearing, heart, bowels etc etc) and MANY reasons to not bring it up... Besides the simple "Survival of the fittest", in pre-historic times, it's unlikely a defective child would survive, and I don't think modern medicine should change nature.

Really don't think it's anything to do with 'producing a "perfect" child' or this consumerist society. It's about producing a human that functions! If I had a baby that I know will be able to survive ON IT'S OWN in adulthood, without relying on anyone else, then I'd have the baby.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654455663519806899.post-15194149716170540082012-12-09T19:37:26.266-08:002012-12-09T19:37:26.266-08:00Hey I'd have an abortion too I'f I was pre...Hey I'd have an abortion too I'f I was pregnant with a baby that had a disability I think it's cruel to have them especially the ones who are so deformed they don't know what they are doing and will never have a proper life it's just cruel keeping them alive Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654455663519806899.post-83680488762735114562012-11-18T20:24:26.639-08:002012-11-18T20:24:26.639-08:00Chances of disability in children born through IVF...Chances of disability in children born through IVF are more than normal born babies but abortion of IVF babies is shocking for me.

fertility treatmentGary Ardillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03556838096529443428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654455663519806899.post-28148942541724669512012-10-15T20:29:10.348-07:002012-10-15T20:29:10.348-07:00I'm afraid I don't agree. One has to look ...I'm afraid I don't agree. One has to look at the Bible as a whole. The passage you have (to use your own terms) 'cherry-picked' comes from a part of the OT law surrounding temple worship which is no longer in existence and in fact no one outside Aaron's family, disabled or able-bodied, was allowed near the offering table.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have subsequently opened access to all and we see God's attitude to disabled people most clearly in the way Christ treated them - he welcomed them, served them, met their needs, healed them and gave them a special place of honour. God simply does not like the disabled. Check this out. I give you Leviticus 21: 17-23

“Speak to Aaron, saying, None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a blemish may approach to offer the bread of his God. For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long, or a man who has an injured foot or an injured hand, or a hunchback or a dwarf or a man with a defect in his sight or an itching disease or scabs or crushed testicles. No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a blemish shall come near to offer the Lord's food offerings; since he has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God."

Stop "cherry picking" certain bits of the bible (and blatantly ignoring others) just to back up your personal views.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09465364913185304047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654455663519806899.post-89753777980770949482012-08-18T03:38:27.555-07:002012-08-18T03:38:27.555-07:00As soon as you mentioned the Bible, you lost all c...As soon as you mentioned the Bible, you lost all credibility.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16410225536439625656noreply@blogger.com
